In 2007, Dhivehicom Network Private Limited, a subsidiary of Islanders group was appointed as the sole authorized distirbutor of Nokia mobile phones and accessories in the Republic of Maldives.

This marked the entry of Islanders into the mobile phone business. Since then, the company has supplied Nokia phones and accessories to leading retail outlets in the capital Island.
